Roger Taylor has joined the Teachable Agents Lab as an IES Post-Doctoral Fellow.

The Teachable Agent Group at Vanderbilt visited Stanford University to visit our collaborators in the AAA Lab at Stanford in Palo Alto, CA.

Gautam Biswas and Rod Roscoe attended the 30th Annual Cognitive Science Conference in Washington, DC.

Denise Armstrong and Wendy Holmgren finished their research experiences with the Teachable Agents Lab. Denise collaborated with Hogy to create a simulation of rollercoasters to help students learn physics. Wendy collaborated with Rod and Garrett to create a simulation of the Sonoran Desert to teach students about ecology.


July 10th, 2008
Claire Gui finished her summer internship with the Teachable Agents lab. Her work on learning with computer simulatons was presented at the Center for Science Outreach High School Research poster session.

James Segedy presented a paper at the 8th Annual IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies, in Santander, Cantabria, Spain.

The Teachable Agents Group has received a Cognition and Student Learning Grant from the U.S. Departement of Education (Institute of Education Sciences) to study "A Learning by Teaching Approach to Help Students Develop Self-Regulatory Learning Skills in Middle School Science Classrooms"
