Allison Moore

Allison Moore is a learning scientist who designs and conducts classroom-based studies with the Teachable Agents Group. Her research focuses on problem-based learning and formative assessment in classroom settings, with a particular interest in uses of technology tools to scaffold teaching and learning.

Allison has managed projects with the Cognition & Technology Group at Vanderbilt and the LIFE Center at the University of Washington. Her work includes The Adventures of Jasper Woodbury, a video challenge-based mathematics problem solving series; STARLegacy software that supports problem-based learning; and Microsoft's Partners in Learning initiative for technology-supported school change in 12 countries. She received her Master’s in elementary education from Peabody College and is a licensed teacher in Tennessee.
